There’s definitely a darker, creepy element to this film, especially at the beginning of the movie, so just be careful of the young ones maybe 6 and under who can’t separate fantasy from reality. The violence in The Addams Family was mostly on the tamer side, but there are knife fights, explosions, villagers trying to come after The Addams Family, things set on fire, etc. ![]() One character did say, “Oh my g-d, oh my g-d, oh my g-d, several times.” Violence Language in The Addams FamilyĪs far as language is concerned, there were no uses of profanity in The Addams Family. The Addams Family is rated PG for language and creepy content. ![]() However, they also watered down the weirdness that made me fall in love The Addams Family in the first place. I don’t know if they toned them down for this 2019 animated version of The Addams Family, but overall it’s kid friendly. If you’ve seen any of the previous versions of The Addams Family, then you know this family is supposed to be creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky.
